The Garden

After debating what to order, I finally ordered seeds for the garden. Honestly, I've only grown a few of them before but never in the Gulf Coast, so I'm excited to see how they do (I'm being optimistic). With the exception of tomatoes, which we planted in trays in January, we haven't planted anything new since late October.

Sunday we had beautiful weather, so I spent a few hours in the garden weeding and planting carrots, lettuce, corn, and sunflowers. Hubby wasn't feeling well, so he pulled up a chair and kept me company. As you can see below, not much has changed since last time I posted. The beets and romaine are a little bigger, but everything else seems to have hit a plateau.
This is what I currently have growing in the garden. Those that are in yellow were added on Sunday. In theory, everything that's planted should continue to grow until mid-April when the temps start to reach the 90s. They've slowed down a lot, so I'm hoping things will pick up with the warmer weather.
