Instead of this being what I wore on Sunday, it's actually what I wore Saturday evening to the vigil Mass. Like most people, we had unseasonably warm weather so I took the opportunity to wear my one of my favorite skirts for the last time until after the baby gets here. Seriously. If I lifted up my shirt you'd see that my skirt may or may not be partially unzipped.
Speaking of clothes, I need some buying advice. If you find something non-maternity that you love, do you buy it in your pre-pregnancy size to wear after the baby is here? I'm really hesitant to buy anything because of this size issue. Now I have a silly maternity clothing question - is sizing based on your pre-pregnancy size? That sounds so obvious but I just want to make sure. I think I just need to order some clothes from an online store with free returns and see what works.

Ugh sizes. So hard. I bought my pre-pregnancy size in maternity with #1 and not all fit for #2 grrr. When pregnant I sometimes buy clothes I like a bit bigger so I can wear them after baby but if I need to I can just make smaller later.
ReplyDeleteYou look so great! Just found your blog, I love it!
ReplyDeleteI've definitely noticed that maternity sizes are bigger than non-maternity sizes, for instance I wore a size 8 maternity pants up until the end of this last pregnancy and was no where close to an 8 in non-maternity clothes after I had the baby. A bit depressing, but I guess the "upside" is that I still fit into my size 8 maternities even after I had her! ugh.
Really liking this outfit. Good skirt and denim top combo.
